Reclaiming the Sand by A. Meredith Walters

Synopsis:

From the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author of Find You in the Dark and Bad Rep comes a story of forgiveness, redemption and finding love in the most unlikely of places.
*THIS IS A STANDALONE WITH NO CLIFFHANGER!*

Bully and victim.
Tormenter and tormented.
Villain and hero.

Ellie McCallum was a bully. No connection to anyone or anything. A sad and lonely existence for a young woman who had come to expect nothing more for herself. Her only happiness coming from making others miserable.

Particularly Freaky Flynn.

Flynn Hendrick lived a life completely disconnected even as he struggled to become something more than that boy with Asperger's. He was taunted and teased, bearing the brunt of systematic and calculated cruelty, ultimately culminating in a catastrophic turn of events that brought Ellie and Flynn’s worlds crashing down.

But then Flynn and Ellie grew up.

And moved on.

Until years later when their paths unexpectedly cross again and the bully and the freak are face to face once more.

When labels come to define you, finding yourself feels impossible. Particularly for two people disconnected from the world who inexplicably find a connection in each other.

And out of the wreckage of their tragic beginnings, an unlikely love story unfolds.

But a painful past doesn’t always want to let go. And old wounds are never truly healed…and sometimes the further you try to run from yourself the closer you come to who you really are.

 My Review:

5 Heart Breaking Phenomenal Unique Inspiring stars

This is a one tough read. I don't even know how to begin my review without being too emotional about it. Gosh I don't even know If I could give justice how beautiful this book is.

Reclaiming the Sand is a unique story of friendship, trust, forgiving, being selfless, being true to yourself and giving love unconditionally. It's an eye opener to each and every one of us, that LOVE IS FOR EVERYONE. No matter who we are or what we do. Everybody deserves to loved and be love.

The prologue itself tells so much things about the story.

That’s exactly what happened as I read Reclaiming the Sand...!!And I experience it all.! Every emotions I feel consumes me. I cried and cried and cried.....  It's a PAINFUL read BUT it is also beautiful, sweet and inspiring. I will not talk about the character, plot, or anything about the book but let me tell you what made me love this book so much.

Reclaiming the Sand just CHANGED me, about my definition of LOVE and FLYNN is the main reason . I know Flynn is not your usual/typical bbf BUT I love HIM so much and i really admire Him. He may not verbally express how he feels towards Ellie but you can FEEL it. He's actions and honesty is just all consuming, deep and raw. He just loves her UNCONDITIONALLY.  He's been Ellie's light when darkness consumes her life. I know you'll hate Ellie but you'll understand  and love her eventually as everything unfolds about her life, why she act that way to Flynn. And her love for Flynn is also beautiful and just extraordinary. This is not your typical love story BUT this book is JUST AMAZING and I can totally say that this book is a MASTERPIECE.

I really adore ms Meredith writing style, because she'd able to make me feel like everything is REAL And each words and scene is written flawlessly. This book shattered my heart and soul but this also made me see things differently and  made my heart whole again.

I highly recommend this book to each and everyone but be sure to prepare your heart and your tissue too, because you'll cry I swear.
