Book Review: UNTEACHABLE by Lea Raeder

I met him at a carnival, of all corny places. The summer I turned eighteen, in that chaos of neon lights and cheap thrills, I met a man so sweet, so beautiful, he seemed to come from another world. We had one night: intense, scary, real. Then I ran, like I always do. Because I didn’t want to be abandoned again.

But I couldn’t run far enough.

I knew him as Evan that night. When I walked into his classroom, he became Mr. Wilke.

My teacher.

I don’t know if what we’re doing is wrong. The rules say one thing; my heart says screw the rules. I can’t let him lose his job. And I can’t lose him.

In the movies, this would have a happy ending. I grow up. I love, I lose, I learn. And I move on. But this is life, and there’s no script. You make it up as you go along.

And you don’t pray for a happy ending. You pray for it to never end

My Review:

BEAUTIFUL FORBIDDEN LOVE STORY

"You can call it love. Or you can call it freefall. They're pretty much the same thing."

Unteachable deals with a common taboo subject: student/teacher relationship. Which is enthralling. You could fell the fear, excitement about the situation and its really irresistible.

I love how the story is written. From the very first line up to the last chapter of the book I got literally hooked. The story just fully grab my attention. .... IT is BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN

♦ I met him at a carnival, of all corny places... ♦

They’ve meet in a Carnival..... This is where their story begins. Because on that warm night, Maise met a boy or I should say a man. That’s where their attraction begins and turns into obsession. But everything turns out of they expected, When Masie starts her senior year in high school and discovers that Evan (the guy she meet at carnival) Mr. Evan Wilke is her new Film Studies teacher. And the story flows how they struggle to be together inspite of all the wrong things they’re facing. One of the things I liked about this story was the way the author developed the relationship between Evan and Maise, it’s not overly dramatic, but it is intense both emotionally and physically.....And don’t forget the the sex scenes, it is FREAKING HOT everytime they’re together.

‘Unteachable’ is a page turner, the plot is really engaging, unique, funny, intense, HOT, bold, realistic . The writing was one of the best parts of this book. Leah weaves words together so seamlessly and effortlessly that the words blur into images in your mind. The entire book unfolds before you like a movie, and IT.WAS.INCREDIBLE!

I love the ending, but I did want more. I hope Ms.Leah Raeder will write another book will surely knock me out again.

Definitely recommend it.

5 stars
